My creativity and love for the arts stemmed from the environment and nurturance of the place I was born. Up until the age of 15, I grew up in Puerto Rico, where I was surrounded by my grandmother, aunts, uncles, and cousins. We lived in the middle of the island in a small town called Jayuya, where my mother's family specialized in agriculture and my father's family owned a candy factory. Through these fields, I learned how to nurture the soil for crop growth and sell packaged good to retailers. As a result, I can now trace my natural draw to commercial arts to the intersection of these distinct, but integrated, backgrounds.

Eventually, my parents decided to move to Connecticut so that my siblings and I could have richer opportunities for growth. There I finished high school and went off to Paier College of Art where I received my BFA, specializing in graphic design. I began my career in the advertising and marketing industry, with firms such as Ogilvy in Manhattan, where I worked with major brands such as Coca-Cola, Holiday Inn, Dupont, Kraft, Motorola, and Sara Lee among others.

Currently, my work consists of love, which surrounds us everyday of our lives. Whether it comes in very unusual packages or whether we have it all along and fail to notice it, love is always present. I emphasize this presence in my work through mixed media, building my canvas with different materials to express my subject. The swirls you see in all of my pieces represent the continuous flow of love and energy. They are meant to capture the idea that although our eyes initially interpret simple details, there is also a part of us that must feel what we see in order to understand it. That feeling is love. My art is meant to remind us that everything we see has texture and feeling, with the swirls representing the subtle softness that love can inspire in all of us.
