Sherry Becker

Sherry Becker was born in Brooklyn, NY, attended Pratt Institute and graduated from Cooper Union where she majored in painting. She earned her masters in social work from Southern CT State University. She was influenced in her early years by the abstract expressionist movement and has developed her own style of self expression utilizing color, form and gesture. Sherry often uses symbolic images to convey her homage to and love of nature and spirit. and continues to evolve and discover new forms of self-expression.

She is a member of St. Philip’s Art Guild (SPAG) where she maintains her studio. Sherry has exhibited her work in NYC and CT and is included in private collections in Florida, California and CT.

Sherry Becker is a licensed clinical social worker and has a thriving psychotherapy practice in Norwalk, CT. She utilizes her art and creativity in her practice as well as traditional modalities. She specializes in anxiety disorders, couples and family therapy and eating disorders. She is also a life coach and a meditation teacher who believes in integrating the mind, body and spirit which is often conveyed in her art.
